Seeking the Past Historical Consulting: Educational Consulting and Design

Seeking the Past Historical Consulting
Educational Consulting and Design

With the recent changes to the State Of Connecticut Social Studies Curriculum school systems are finding it necessary to develop lessons in local and Connecticut history.

Seeking the Past Historical Consulting can help school systems and historical organizations develop meaningful lessons based upon local and state history.

The goal is to make the history of each community and Connecticut come alive through hands-on inquiry based upon local assets and resources.  The result will be a greater understanding and appreciation of a shared past and a greater sense of place.

Seeking the Past can both advise schools and historical organizations on the development of lessons or create them based upon local resources and history.

Recent and courant work:
The development of lessons for Elementary and Secondary students for the Old Saybrook School System in partnership with the Old Saybrook Historical Society. The Topic: The Siege and Battles of Saybrook Fort during the Pequot War.

Participation in the Follow The Falls Project (2018-2022) sponsored by the Essex Historical Society and the Essex Land Trust.  Research Historian and Lecturer for the project.
